E-Twinning Project
EU Citizenship

Imagine Education is developing a new course of lessons on behalf of the European Union which aim to develop concepts of European citizenship amongst the children of the union’s constituent countries. In addition to this central theme, the program will provide a vehicle for improving both teachers’ and pupils’ ICT skills, as well as offering opportunities for trans-national collaboration and communication between partner schools.
This project forms part of the EU’s E-Twinning initiative, the main action of the European Union’s E-Learning programme, launched in 2005. As well as providing schools with activities for the classroom, we are supporting this initiative through training workshops which help teachers get to grips with ICT and digital video, and by working with the British Council to organise a major event where participating teachers from all over Europe will have the chance to meet.
